As the years rolled by, this little boy grew into a strong and tough human being, imbibing the qualities of excellence, exuberance and respect, which are displayed in his behavior and interactions with Bollywood and his fans. Enter 1988, and this fully grown adult decides to pursue a career in acting. His father lost his battle with Cancer. Shahrukh was too shattered but vowed to take care of his mother and sister. He grew up and fell in love with a Hindu girl.

America and Bollywood are quite taken with each other these days. It started out as a flirtation many years ago, with occasional teases that seemed promising but failed to lead anywhere. And then a little movie called ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ came along, and even though it was not a product of Bollywood, it pitched America into a full-blown affair with India and its cinema.
